Tradewind Recruitment is excited to present an excellent opportunity for a caring and motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Haydock. This long-term position, starting asap, is perfect for someone committed to supporting students with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

Role and Responsibilities:As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and activities to meet student's individual needs
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them engage and succeed in their learning
  • Supporting student's emotional and social development in a safe, inclusive environment
  • Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive, structured learning space

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience supporting students with SEN needs
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting children and young people
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new DBS
