Due to continued expansion across the business, our client, a market leading manufacturer is seeking to enhance its team with the appointment of Panel Wirers on site.

This role offers the opportunity to work for a true market leader and established global brand. With progressive training and development this role allows potential promotion in the longer term. With a long established presence on a UK wide scale and a consistent order book this opportunity will appeal to a candidate looking for job security and a technical challenge.

Role Description

  • Carryout the assembly of protection and control Panels
  • Layout and Mechanical assembly of Panel according to GA Drawings.
  • Wiring panel according to Electrical Schematics drawings.
  • Point to point check of completed panels.
  • Assembling the P&C Panels.
  • Electrical Interconnection wiring.
  • Completion of Production Paper work, e.g. Time sheets, Assembly competition records and Test records.
  • Installation of equipment into sub-stations.
  • Cutting of cable and fitting of cable identification labels.
  • Testing of equipment.
  • Identify and communicate potential H&S risks in the production area

Skills and Qualifications

  • Able to read and interpret wiring drawings.
  • Panel Wiring / Electrical Apprenticeship or Equivalent experience.
  • General IT skills, Excel, word, outlook.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively on own or as part of a team.
  • Experience with the assembly of Protection and control panels
