Job Summary:

This client is a customized and High-Tech electrical solutions provider operating globally. They design and manufacture solutions aimed at modernizing and digitalising the national grid with their cutting-edge technology. They aim to provide a more sustainable and renewable energy supply to guarantee power to buildings and infrastructure.

This is a role for an ambitious panel wirer working across the businesses substations. You will be working with control panels and switchgear.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the assembly protection and control panels
  • Layout and Mechanical assembly of panels according to GA drawings
  • Electrical wiring to schematic drawings
  • Electrical interconnection wiring
  • Point-to-point check of completed panels
  • Assembly of P&C panels on switchgear
  • Mechanical fitting
  • General assistance with the day-to-day operation of the production area. These include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain cleanliness of the production area, make improvements if necessary
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of standard panel build equipment
  • Completion of production paperwork e.g., timesheets, assembly competition records, test records
  • Aid production engineers, contributing to production requirements
  • Installation of equipment into sub-stations
  • Cutting cable, and fitting with cable identification labels
  • Testing of equipment
  • Identify and communicate any potential health and safety risks in the production area

Education and Qualifications:

Required:

  • Electrical qualification level 3 or above
  • BTec or City and Guilds electrical qualification or recognised apprenticeship

Desirable:

  • Experience in electrical control panel wiring
  • Experience in the Assembly of protection and control panels to control medium voltage switchgear
