Job Title: Social Housing Electrician (JIB Qualified)
Location: St Helens
Rate: 22.00 per hour (paye umbrella)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temp to Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week
About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Social Housing Electrician to join our team. As a JIB-qualified electrician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving electrical installations across our social housing properties. Your work will directly contribute to providing safe and reliable homes for our residents.
You will be primarily working on a kitchens and bathrooms planned works project, ensuring all electrical systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in social housing properties.
Conduct electrical testing, fault finding, and inspections (including EICRs).
Ensure all work meets current regulations and safety standards.
Work on planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, including rewiring and upgrades.
Respond to emergency call-outs and perform timely repairs.
Liaise with tenants, colleagues, and management to deliver high-quality service.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Requirements:
JIB Gold Card (Electrician status).
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
Full UK driving license (company vehicle provided).
Experience working in social housing or residential settings.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
