Events Manager

Full Time Contract (3 Months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking an Events Manager in St.Helens. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

  • Lead on all aspects of the development and implementation of the St Helens Christmas events, specifically plans, projects, policies, systems, processes and programmes which support the achievement of directorate and organisational aims and objectives
  • Lead contract and financial management of all event related activity, including procurement, contract management of supplier contracts and income generation.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders including key partners, community organisations as well as wider support services to ensure effective and safe event management.
  • Complete all relevant event documentation including Event Management Plan and ensure the timely completion of risk assessments.
  • Undertake all elements of the project management cycle as appropriate from initial scoping and business case, to project initiation, delivery, evaluation and lessons learnt

The candidate:

  • Experience of organising events, ideally council/public sector events
  • Experience of working with community and voluntary groups when organising events
  • Ability to organise exhibitions, public and partner participation forums, community events etc
