Client Details

Our client is an SME business in the logistics / transport sector with an approximate turnover of £20m. They are looking to bring accounts back in house from an external accountant and require support from an experienced and highly autonomous finance professional to join them on a permanent basis.

Description

  • Overseeing all financial operations within the company.
  • Working closely with Directors (including MD) and providing financial information to support future commercial decision making.
  • Developing and implementing financial strategy and policies.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Managing and forecasting budgets and cash flow.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports.
  • Collaborating with other departments to inform decisions and strategy with financial insights.
  • Managing relationships with banks and external auditors.
  • Leading, training, and developing the finance team.

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
  • Excellent understanding of financial regulations and standards.
  • Good leadership and team management skills.
  • Confidence to liaise and present to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Although not essential, experience gained using Sage would be advantageous.
