We are a dynamic and growing SME manufacturing business based in St Helens, committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers while maintaining a strong focus on efficiency and innovation. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced and driven Finance Manager to join our team.

Client Details

Our client is a large organisation known for its widespread influence in the manufacturing industry. As a Finance Controller, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing all financial aspects of the business.

Description

  • Oversee the financial operations for the business.
  • Manage a small Finance team of 3 people and offer support and guidance when necessary.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and policies
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports including profit & loss account, consolidated reporting pack, inventory depreciation report and inter company matching report.
  • Accounting for Fixed Assets, accruals and prepayments and inventory.
  • Sales/margin analysis and review
  • Review of VAT returns, PAYE payments , P11'd's and other HMRC returns.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Analyse market trends to maximise profits and find expansion opportunities
  • Full end to end management account packs.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
  • Collaborate with the management team to set budgets and financial objectives

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or a relevant field
  • Part qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes
  • Proficiency in financial software and databases
  • Excellent analytic and decision-making abilities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Commitment to the highest standards of integrity and professional conduct.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must be proactive, well organised and be able to work unsupervised.
