Eventus Recruitment are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a successful Financial Planning business based in St. Helens, Merseyside. This is a great job opportunity to join an established and successful firm which continues to grow organically by having an impeccable marketplace reputation. Role responsibilities:

The role of Paraplanner is to support the Financial Planner in providing, implementing and reviewing strategies and advice to clients. This will include monitoring and reporting to clients in respect of various types of financial products.

  • Supporting Consultants in preparing accurate financial plans and suitability reports
  • Supporting the Advisers in research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives
  • Report writing (fund switches, new pension or investment recommendations, pension and ISA transfer reports, drawdown reports, top up and withdrawal reports)
  • Developing and maintaining internal relationships with various areas of the business to meet agreed targets
  • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner
  • Meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally. Completing continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs
  • Completing annual reviews with clients
  • Collating income strategies and cashflows
  • Ensuring all processes are compliant

Person specification

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, client-focused financial planning environment. The following skills and attributes are sought after from the incoming Paraplanner:

  • Have a full understanding of Holistic Financial Planning (Lifestyle Planning)
  • Experience of cashflow forecasting
  • Confident and credible when attending client meetings
  • Proficient IT skills. This should include knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience working in a Paraplanning role.
  • Achieved professional qualifications to at least Level 4 (CII Diploma in Financial Planning).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Attention to quality, detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work within deadlines
  • Flexible and able to deal with a multitude of tasks at once, able to prioritise when there are apparent conflicts of time or resource.
  • Client focused; friendly, helpful and considerate to all.
  • Show initiative, being able to motivate & manage oneself and to have a desire to improve and develop.
  • Enjoys working with other people and works well in a team environment.
