Ignition Driver Recruitment is looking for a Transport Clerk inst Helens to work for our client, who areone of the UK's best-known Supermarket Chains.

To be considered for this role, you must have 12 months previous experience in a similar type of position.

We are looking for someone who:
  1. Is highly organized
  2. Has impeccable timekeeping
  3. Has the ability to think on their feet
  4. Can work either alone, or in a team environment
Working hours for Transport Clerks:
This position requires someone who can work on a rotating shift pattern, as follows:
Week 1
4 on 4 off - 06:00 - 18:00
Week 2
4 on 4 off - 18:00 - 06:00

What will you be doing as a Transport Clerk?
This role will see you supporting the delivery of the companies transport KPI's. Itis an exciting and varied role, and some of the tasks required will include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting fleet changes (actions & communications)
  • Monitoring vehicle maintenance to ensure legal compliance
  • Coordinate & support vehicle maintenance (scheduling, MOTs and Servicing)
  • Provide Transport and Planning data via the Management Information System
  • Support with compliance escalations
  • Support with site specific projects
  • Assist with fleet transitions between depots
  • Ensure continuous development within your role
  • General administration duties to support the department

What do we need from you to be a Transport Clerk?
  • Excellent communication skills (including telephone, face to face, written etc)
  • Ability to multitask and work as part of a team as well as being organised
  • Good computer knowledge is essential (Microsoft suite (word, excel, Teams, Outlook)
  • Superb attention to detail
