Our client is a leading global Industrial Gases and Engineering company, delivering high quality, gas processing solutions for a variety of industries, including healthcare, chemical, manufacturing and food & beverage.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Multi-Disciplined Engineer to work out of their main Merseyside site, with regular visits to local satellite sites.
You will be supporting all aspects of running five industrial gas production plants, supervising contract personnel and actively support the sites SHEQ goals and targets.

As the Multi-disciplined Engineer your duties will be;
- Safe, reliable and efficient operation of five industrial gas production plants.
- Prepare, issue, monitor and control Permits to Work, incorporating contractors risk assessments.
- Undertake site safety inductions for all personnel undertaking work on site and maintain induction records.
- Operate the SAP Planned Maintenance System by planning and coordinating maintenance activities.
- Prepare plant for maintenance and inspection as required, by executing physical and electrical isolations.
- Inspect and check all operating plant and machinery on a regular basis.
- Identify and diagnose faults on plant and machinery, provide feedback and raise work orders for rectification.
- Act as senior person on site for plant emergencies and implement appropriate Site Emergency Plans.
- Ensure that all internal and external stakeholders are updated on plant and supply status.
- Participate in the sites on-call rota system.
- Qualified/Time Served within an Electrical/Mechanical discipline (Mechanical bias preferred).
- Must have knowledge/experience working within a Chemical or Processing industry.
- Previous experience working in a chemical/process environment is desirable.
- Must have strong SHEQ knowledge/experience. IOSH/NEBOSH certification would be ideal.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work as part of a team or alone/on own initiative.
