We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our client in St Helens as a English Lecturer on a Permanent basis. This role is based in an Ofsted rated GOOD college that is known for its positive and bustling atmosphere. Are you passionate about educating apprentices, school leavers, and mature students? Do you possess the skills to create engaging lessons and nurture a supportive learning environment? If so, this role is perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality educational learning materials.
  • Develop and implement the subject improvement plan arising from self-assessment.
  • Developing appropriate interaction with individuals and whole groups in order to
  • facilitate the learning process.
  • Assist the Head of Faculty in supporting the course team in preparing and delivering courses within the College's Curriculum Plan in order to achieve effective learning.
  • Integrate Industry experience into teaching to offer practical insights.
  • Promote College values and adhere to safeguarding policies.
  • Engage in continuous professional development opportunities.


Requirements (Skills / Qualifications / Experience):

  • Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in English /related fields.
  • Certificate in Education/ PGCE or commitment to achieve within 2 years of appointment.
  • Valuable experience in teaching or relevant industry expertise.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for education.
  • Commitment to promoting student welfare and fostering inclusivity.
