We are recruiting a skilled and organised Payroll Manager to lead the payroll division of a thriving organisation. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will oversee weekly payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Managing a small team, you'll play a key role in maintaining smooth payroll processes while supporting the business with key insights and improvements.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a proven background in payroll and management to make a significant impact in a busy and dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with department managers to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll.
  • Accurately input weekly timesheets to ensure staff are paid correctly.
  • Verify and process payment information in line with company procedures.
  • Manage starters and leavers, including issuing P45s
  • Produce and upload BACS files for payment processing.
  • Prepare and present weekly payroll reports to Senior Management.
  • Ensure compliance with company management systems, reporting, and quality standards.
  • Handle queries from HMRC and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Identify and address payroll liabilities while recommending process improvements.
  • Resolve payroll errors and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Train and develop payroll staff to ensure high performance.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant laws and policies.
