We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic professional to join our Learner Support Team as an Exam Access and Specialist Support Tutor. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing support and exam access arrangements for students with a range of learning differences, disabilities, sensory impairments, and medical conditions in a Further Education setting.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach, support, and assess learners with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) in a Post 16 environment.
  • Actively participate as a team member, committed to delivering an excellent, inclusive, and student-focused service.
  • Develop and complete Learner Support Plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provide one-on-one support to learners, assisting with academic work across all levels of study.
  • Ensure compliance with JCQ requirements for Assessors of Exam Access Arrangements and maintain high standards in report writing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., DTLLS, Cert Ed, or other Post 16 equivalent).
  • A qualification that meets JCQ requirements for Assessors of Exam Access Arrangements.
  • Proven experience in teaching, supporting, and assessing learners with SpLD in a Post 16 environment.
  • Strong report writing skills and experience in completing Learner Support Plans.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to valuing, encouraging, and supporting diversity and fostering a spirit of mutual respect among students and colleagues.
