About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a colleague to further their career by becoming a Warehouse Shift Manager. The successful candidate will form part of the warehouse senior team, helping to deliver performance across all scorecard metrics and working with the team to make Haydock a great place to work.

Role Responsibility

  • Management of costs and productivity, assisting the site in achieving annual budget.
  • Take accountability and ownership for health & safety on shift and help to create a safety-minded culture on site.
  • Delivering excellent service to all customers with minimal service disruption and impact to branch availability
  • Champion of Continuous Improvement, diversity and inclusion to make Haydock a great and efficient place to work.
  • Ensure effective use of all equipment on site
  • Support the site to reduce damages and stock loss

You will need

  • Be organized. self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work under pressure
  • People focused and keen to develop managers and colleagues
  • Able to demonstrate a keen awareness for health and safety, particularly in relation to site equipment
  • Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business
  • Confidence to deliver information to a group in a positive and effective way
  • Understanding of people planning and scheduling
