My client is looking for a suitably qualified mechanical engineer to join the engineering team at one of the world’s largest manufacturers of glass and glazing products on a fixed term 12-month contract. You will be responsible for aspects of maintenance on the float and production press comprising of compressed air, gas and cooling water.Experience and Qualification Required

  • A relevant Engineering Apprenticeship and be qualified to NVQ level 3, with proven experience within a similar technical role.
  • To work unsupervised for extended periods and be capable of identifying, generating and managing own workload.
  • Must be willing to join the 1-in-9 on call team to provide out of hours coverage in line with the needs of the process and must be flexible to respond to changes in priority or emergency situations which may include operating on a shift system.
