Lift technician required. Our client is looking for either an experienced lift engineer or technician to join their ever-growing team, the reason for this position being available is due to promotions within the business. The ideal candidate would have NVQ level 4 qualification but the client is willing to take a candidate on with NVQ level 3 and put them through training for the NVQ level 4 so it is a great opportunity. The role itself would be covering the North West area (Manchester, Liverpool and Preston) and the candidate must be within a commutable distance of these areas.

This role requires a manual driving licence.

Lift Technician Position Remuneration

Lift Technician Position Overview
  • Conduct services and repairs on lifts across the North Area of England.
  • This role has a path to progression with qualifications e.g., NVQ level 4 and LEIA distance learning courses.
  • Opportunities to work away on cruise ships carrying our repairs and inspections, this is not a mandatory requirement of this role but an opportunity if this is something you would be interested in.
  • Maintain service records and logs of maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in lift systems
  • This role has no on call work so is mainly service, breakdowns and audits.
  • The client is looking for a candidate that is driven in their career bath to progress.
  • The contracts this client holds are with hospitals, office blocks and flats.
  • There is an out-of-town allowance in the rare circumstances staying away is required.
Lift Technician Position Requirements
  • NVQ Level 4 would be ideal but the client is willing to take someone on with NVQ Level 3 in lifts so it is a great opportunity.
  • Relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Manual driving licence.
  • Within a commutable distance of Manchester, Liverpool and Preston.
  • Strong knowledge and skillset in the lift industry
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Able to work as a team or alone.
