Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join the A&E team at Whiston Hospital. The role involves rapid assessments, early intervention, and discharge planning in a fast-paced emergency setting, working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct timely assessments and interventions for patients in A&E.

  • Facilitate safe and efficient discharges, preventing unnecessary hospital admissions.

  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapy teams to provide patient-centered care.

  • Supervise and support junior therapists and therapy assistants.

  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements
  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.

  • Experience in A&E, acute care, or similar high-paced settings.

  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
