Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join the A&E team at Whiston Hospital. The role involves rapid assessments, early intervention, and discharge planning in a fast-paced emergency setting, working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct timely assessments and interventions for patients in A&E.
Facilitate safe and efficient discharges, preventing unnecessary hospital admissions.
Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapy teams to provide patient-centered care.
Supervise and support junior therapists and therapy assistants.
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
Experience in A&E, acute care, or similar high-paced settings.

Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
