We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to join our Moving and Handling Team. This role supports our Single-Handed Care Project, making a meaningful difference to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct moving and handling assessments for individuals with complex needs.
  • Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and deliver tailored moving and handling training to formal and informal carers.
  • Recommend and provide guidance on specialized equipment and major adaptations.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies, demonstrating professionalism and building strong working relationships.
  • Assess client needs, develop comprehensive care plans, and ensure effective implementation in line with current legislation.

To excel in this role, you should be:

  • Qualified and HCPC registered (or hold equivalent moving and handling qualifications).
  • Experienced in supporting individuals with complex physical disabilities.
  • Knowledgeable about the latest moving and handling techniques and equipment advancements.
  • Confident in working independently, managing a dynamic workload, and making impactful decisions.
  • Proficient in IT, with a good understanding of relevant tools and systems.
  • Skilled in communication, able to engage effectively with professionals, carers, and clients.
  • Familiar with current legislation and best practices related to moving and handling.
