My market leading, St Helens based client are looking to recruit an experienced HR Assistant or HR Advisor to support the business, initially on a temporary ongoing basis, the assignment could then go permanent for the successful candidate.

  • £25k - £30k Salary
  • 37.5 hours per week, 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday
  • Once fully inducted Hybrid working will be available, 3 days per week from office (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and 2 days per week from home (Monday & Friday).

The purpose of the role is to provide a comprehensive and best practice HR service to the business. Acquire, maintain, and develop employees to ensure that the company has the required skills and competencies to achieve its objectives.

Main Accountabilities

  • Provide HR advice and support, assisting the established HR and TA team.
  • Oversee all internal HR systems ensuring data is up to date and GDPR compliant to allow for monthly KPI reporting.
  • Work with the HR Advisors to provide full support for first stage disciplinary/grievance hearings across all locations. Create and manage HR related correspondence and administration. 
  • Provide support to the Talent Acquisition Coordinator on recruitment and selection. Provide interview support to line managers as and when required. Oversee and manage absence across all locations with Occupational Health and ensure the absence management policy is followed including the promotion of our wellbeing strategy.
  • Provide administrative HR support such as employment contracts and letter drafting as and when directed.

Specification:

  • HR experience, CIPD qualified. Experience of the full recruitment process including interviewing and assessment is advantageous.
  • The ability to work autonomously and be a strong team player is essential for this role.
