This HSE Advisor opportunity is a great next step up as it's a standalone role and you would be the owner of the Health and Safety agenda on site, so if you are looking to progress your career in this discipline this could be the logical next step . The balance of an experienced senior team for guidance but the autonomy to make this your own is attractive.

The Health and Safety agenda is critical to the site operations and needs an upbeat, engaging individual who is comfortable working at all levels and can engage and be out and about, involved with the daily activities in the factory.

The Business

The Role

  • Be 'visible' in and around the factory and all areas of the business - the recognised subject matter expert.
  • Promote a positive H&S culture across the site, supporting teams and ensuring active involvement in H&S activities with all functions.
  • Work across all key stakeholders to ensure consistency of message and culture.
  • Always ensure full legal compliance for SHE.
  • Completing risk assessments, working closely with key stakeholders and site inspections and audits.
  • Working closely with the Senior Management Team - very collaborative approach and style on the site.
  • Identifying the root cause on any health and safety issues.
  • Maintain and update accident and incident management procedures.
  • Conduct drills and execute emergency response plans.

In terms of background for this role, you will need experience in in manufacturing ideally food or FMCG:

  • SHE background in the above industry sectors
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and involved style, always looking for improvements and engaging others.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance to legislation.
  • Accurate and attentive to detail.
