A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established, privately owned distributor of electrical connectors.
Our company offers design and sales support for our product portfolio and we represent many of the industries leading manufacturers.
We have been established for over 40 years and have a strong focus on customer relations.
The Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will work towards annual sales objectives by working with new and existing customers to develop sales and technical opportunities.
This role will expect you to work on a hybrid basis and travel nationally to meet both new & existing customers when necessary.
Reporting to senior management, you will be required to:
Increase our market share & maximise new business development opportunities
Work towards sales growth targets
Build rapport with new & existing customers
Provide an effective handover to support colleagues
Act as ambassador for our brand
Our regular working hours are Monday - Thursday 8:45-17:00 and Friday 8:45-15:45. This role will occasionally require overnight stays as you visit longer distance customers or tie in multiple visits.
About You
To join us as a Business Development Manager, you will need:
Technical sales experience
Excellent communications and relationship-building skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong Microsoft Office skills
A full clean UK driving licence
A suitable applicant will have strong technical knowledge of connectors and their application or be from an electro-mechanical background, however an enthusiastic individual with a willingness to learn could be considered.
A suitable applicant must also be within a 25-mile radius of St. Helens (WA9) to make office visits convenient.
Additional training on our product portfolio will be provided.
