Tradewind are recruiting! Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher seeking a long-term role? Are you available for an immediate start?

Tradewind are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our client secondary schools in St. Helens who are seeking an English Teacher for a long-term sickness cover. This position is to start ASAP and is required on a full-time basis, until Christmas teaching across KS3 and KS4. Pay for this position, depending on experience, will be up to £223.62 per day.

The successful English Teacher will be joining a St. Helens based client who work together to achieve excellence, guided by Christian values. Placing the personal and character development of all students to how the school community is nurtured, as part of their mission.

The English curriculum at our client St. Helens school is broad and diverse at Key Stage 3 a student-centred approach to activities will nurture independence, resilience and critical thought or consideration of a range of texts. The key threads of independence, resilience and critical thought that run through the Key Stage 3 curriculum are maintained and extended at Key Stage 4.

To be considered for this English Teacher position based in St. Helens the essentials are:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching English across KS3 and KS4
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Full enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
