About the Role
This role involves providing targeted support to young people, including those with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You'll work closely with individuals and groups to inspire confidence, develop skills, and promote positive behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support to help young people set and achieve personal and social goals.
- Plan and deliver creative activities that enhance teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of students with SEMH challenges, ensuring everyone can participate.
- Develop positive relationships with young people, acting as a trusted mentor and role model.
- Work alongside parents, teachers, and community organisations to create a strong support network.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress while safeguarding confidentiality.
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in youth work or a related field is essential, particularly with children or adolescents.
- Strong communication, empathy, and the ability to inspire and motivate young people.
- Familiarity with SEMH practices is advantageous but not essential.
- A genuine commitment to empowering young people to thrive.
