About the Role:

We're seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Social Worker to join our Children's Services team at St. Helens Metropolitan Borough Council. This role will involve working with complex cases, including Children in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children, and Care Proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a caseload of complex cases.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective care plans.
  • Represent the local authority in court proceedings.
  • Provide supervision and support to junior social workers.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including health, education, and police.
