Children's Social Worker

Are you a dedicated social worker passionate about safeguarding children?

St Helens MBC is seeking an experienced and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children. You will be joining a team consisting of a Team Manager, Assistant Team Manager, 5 Social Workers, and a Social Work Assistant

About the Role:

  • Base: Atlas House
  • Caseload: Approximately 20-22 children

As a Children's Social Worker, you will:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs and risks
  • Develop and implement effective care plans
  • Work closely with families, schools, and other professionals
  • Represent the needs of children in court proceedings
  • Participate in regular supervision and case reviews

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience in Child Protection and Care Proceedings
  • A strong understanding of child safeguarding and welfare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
