Job Description:
Tradewind Recruitment is looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to provide one-on-one support to a child in a Year 4 class at a mainstream primary school in St. Helens. This full-time role is crucial in helping the child navigate and thrive in their educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated one-on-one behaviour support to a child in Year 4.
- Implement strategies to manage and improve the child's behaviour.
- Assist the child in engaging with classroom activities and following school routines.
- Work closely with the class teacher and other staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on the child's behaviour and progress to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Behaviour Support Assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a commitment to supporting children with behavioural challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
