Learning Support Assistant

Location: In and around St Helen's Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Ad-hoc (Flexible)Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking compassionate and experienced Learning Support Assistants to work in SEND schools in and around St Helen's. Whether you're looking for full-time, part-time, or ad-hoc work, we have a range of opportunities to fit your schedule. You must be flexible and available for morning calls to cover last-minute vacancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Support students in their learning and personal development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff
  • Help manage behaviour and provide emotional support to students as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant (preferably in SEND settings)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature
  • Willingness to work flexibly across different SEND schools in Merseyside
  • Available for morning calls for same-day assignments
  • A passion for supporting children with additional needs
