Assistant Accountant

A fantastic opportunity to work with a well established, Fire & Security firm, with a large range of customers ranging from Commercial, Domestic & Industrial sites. My client is eager to welcome a new, experienced Assistant Accountant into the fold.

Package

£35-40,000

Full time (40 hours week) | Office based

Main Responsibilities

  • Month end tasks and preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and proactive investigation into any differences/aged items
  • Create and process journals (prepayments, accruals, depreciation, etc)
  • Bank posting and reconciliations
  • Ensuring finance team schedules and trackers are up to date
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Supporting with year-end audits
  • Ad-hoc financial and headcount reporting
  • Expense management
  • VAT reconciliations and returns
  • Office for National Statistics returns, pus other where applicable
  • Project related work
  • Any other finance tasks as and when required

Experiences and Knowledge

  • Part qualifies accountant (AAT, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Excellent Excel sills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a large workload to ensure all deadlines are met
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
  • Self-motivated
