Our client is an established manufacturing company based in St Leonards who have more than 40 years’ experience. They specialise in precision machined components and assemblies for various sectors. They are currently looking for a CNC Milling Setter/Programmer to join their hardworking and dedicated team.
As a CNC Milling Setter/Programmer you will be reading technical drawings and ensuring that the machines are set to the correct tolerances, as well as quality checking to ensure all products are finished to high standards. The ideal CNC Milling Setter/Programme will have demonstrable experience of setting and programming, have experience of using Fanuc systems and be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
The Ideal CNC Milling Setter/Programmer will possess the following skills and qualities:
- Demonstrable experience as a CNC Milling Setter/Programmer
- Possess a good knowledge of CAD/CAM Programming
- Previous experience and knowledge of Fanuc
- Good understanding of engineering and machining principles
- Ability to programme from drawings
- Competent computer skills including Microsoft office
- Be able to work independently
- Possess a good eye for detail
Your duties as a CNC Milling Setter/Programmer will be:
- Producing components to customer specification
- Working with Citizen and Star machines
- Inspecting produced work
- Maintaining deadlines and schedules
- Setting machines to the correct tolerances
- Reading technical drawings
- Tool changes
- Quality checking products produced
- Ensuring work space is kept clean and tidy
- Assisting other staff when needed
Salary:
£27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
Hours:
Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm
Friday, 8am - 1pm
