About the Role:
As a Design & Technology with Engineering Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to think creatively and apply practical skills to solve real-world problems. You will foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting collaboration and respectful discussions while enhancing students' understanding of design principles and engineering concepts. Additionally, you will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the broader academic and extracurricular life of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic Design and Technology lessons with a focus on Engineering across various year groups.
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress, providing tailored feedback to support their understanding of design principles and technical skills.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives related to Design and Technology.
- Stay current with developments in the Design and Technology curriculum, employing a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching Design and Technology with a focus on Engineering at the secondary level is highly desirable.
- A strong commitment to student achievement and personal development.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students in their exploration of design and technology concepts.
