Site Engineer - Major Highway Improvement scheme

One of our clients is delivering a £500+ million highways improvement project in Cambridgeshire and require a number of vacancies filled to make sure the project is on schedule. As Site Engineer, you will be supported by the Section Engineer (among others) and are expected to take ownership of the site works of the section, contributing to planning the works and ensuring that the works are constructed in accordance with the design and contract scopes.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, supervisors, support functions, designers, and client representatives.
  • Draft temporary works design briefs that meet the standards set by the Section Engineer and Temporary Works Coordinator.
  • Review designs and address any questions to your Section Engineer.
  • Comprehend the design specifications and drawings for your section.
  • Assist in implementing the Inspection and Test Plans for your tasks.
  • Detect Non-Conformances and ensure they are promptly reported and resolved.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in a Civil Engineering-related field, HND in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Progressing towards or holding a Professional Industry Qualification.
  • Proficiency with digital tools.
  • Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental management.
  • Relevant CSCS card.
  • Full UK driving licence required for highway projects.
  • Legal right to work in the UK is necessary for this role.
