This is your opportunity to join a highly skilled and experienced team as a Despatch Operative based on the outskirts of St Neots, Cambridgeshire. Our clients are well established specialists in a variety of products and sectors.

As a Despatch Operative you will be responsible for checking, labelling and packing material into cores or bags ready for despatch via van, courier or for collection by the client.

Responsibilities:

  • Contacting relevant people (internal and external) to chase up missing van jobs.

  • Packing materials to their different specifications.

  • Picking and packing for retail campaigns.

  • Processing job bags correctly to ensure despatch area remains organised and labelling where required.

  • Clearing the floor ready for the next jobs to be laid out.

  • Loading of outbound vehicles.

  • Other general duties as required by management.

Skills/Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must be physically able to undertake the heavy lifting that is required.

  • This is a customer facing role so a high level of customer service is expected.

  • Good attention to detail and high level of organisation are vital.

  • Must be a good team player with great communication skills.

  • Flexible approach and ability to do overtime where required.

  • Excellent time keeping.

  • Can work on their own and use initiative.

  • Full driving licence & own transport

Hours & Pay:

06:00 until 14:00 / 14:00 until 22:00 – Monday to Friday (rotating shifts)

08:00 until 16:00 (whilst training)

£11.50 per hour
