Quality Manager required to join a well-established Engineering company that is based in the St Neots area. This role would suit an experienced Quality Manager that has a strong background and experience in Manufacturing quality and/or a process engineering role.
Quality Manager Job Overview- Maintain accreditation to ISO9001, 14001 & OHSAS18001 (AS9100 requirement in future)
- Continually develop Integrated Management System implementing above standards.
- Monitor, analyse and review Quality & Process performance data.
- Propose and carry through projects to deliver Process and Quality performance improvements.
- Prepare and distribute monthly report detailing Quality & Process performance to Management & wider company.
- Host external audits and plan and lead internal audit programme.
- Manage customer complaints through initial response to closure.
- Investigate non-conformance and drive internal teams to deliver sustainable preventative solutions.
- Provide daily updates to the Operations team meeting regarding KPI's and status of live quality issues.
- Develop formal process training material to better standardise and document training standards.
- Strong background in manufacturing quality and/or process engineering role. Experience of managing ISO9001 and preferably ISO 14001 & OHSAS18001 and/or skilled in LEAN / Six-sigma.
- Excellent working knowledge of driving continuous improvement and being able to demonstrate the ability to bring about step change in working closely with everyone from shop floor to senior management.
- Significant manufacturing and process improvement experience.
- Strong statistical analysis skills, IT and familiarity with working with ERP, CRM and document management systems.
- Experience of Business Intelligence software such as Crystal Reports would be a distinct advantage.
- Experience of leading product/process failure investigations, preferably with experience of root-cause-analysis tools and/or product failure mode analysis.
- Commercially aware and able to prioritise work schedules and plan projects according to business need.
