Role: Assistant SENCO 

Location: St Neots 

Start Date: Feb 2025 

REED are currently working in partnership with a secondary school based around St Neots, supporting them recruit an Assistant SENCO to start from February 2025. 

Key Responsibilities:• Lead and manage the provision for students with SEN.• Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with diverse needs.• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individualized education plans (IEPs).• Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN.• Provide training and support to staff on SEN best practices.• Ensure compliance with SEN legislation and school policies.• Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment.Requirements:• Preferred but not essential Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognized SENCO qualification.• Proven experience in a SENCO role or similar position.• Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.• Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity.
