Welder Fabricator

  • Salary: Up to £36,500 per annum (equivalent to £18.00 per hour)
  • Time and a Half Overtime Rate, up to £27.00 per hour. (Good hours available)
  • Permanent position
  • Immediate start available
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with a 12:00 mid-day finish on Fridays
  • Location: Cambourne - St. Neots - Huntingdon area
  • Own transport is necessary due to the rural location (No public transport).

We are seeking a multi-skilled Welder Fabricator skilled in TIG welding, specifically with stainless steel experience. This role involves fabricating and welding stainless steel components to meet industry standards. It is expected you will have experience in reading engineering drawings, understand tolerances / bend allowances / be experienced in fabrication and sheet-metal machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components
  • Fabrication in stainless steel material 1.0mm - 12mm thickness including pipework/purge
  • Read Engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Utilise hand and power tools for cutting, grinding and shaping metal components
  • Conduct quality inspections
  • Maintain a safe work environment

Requirements:

  • Proven TIG welding experience with stainless steel
  • MIG welding
  • Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
  • Proficiency in welding equipment operation
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Work Hours:

  • 39 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday (Early finish on Fridays)
  • Start time: 7:30 am
  • Finish times: Monday 4:00 pm, Tuesday 4:30 pm, Wednesday & Thursday 5:00 pm, and Friday 12:00 mid-day
