In- House Tax Manager - Drive Impact in a Thriving Business

Are you a qualified tax professional eager to play a key role in a fast-paced and evolving organisation? We are looking for a knowledgeable Manager to join a small UK team, providing expert tax insights and ensuring full compliance across our UK and Ireland operations.



About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will serve as a trusted advisor within the business, offering strategic tax guidance, overseeing compliance processes, and driving efficiency improvements. Your role will be critical in ensuring tax-effective operations while supporting broader business objectives.



Key Responsibilities

  • Stay informed on UK and Ireland corporate tax regulations, offering expert advice on key tax issues.

  • Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and efficient CT tax submissions, maximising available reliefs and claims.

  • Assist in preparing VAT returns and managing indirect tax compliance in coordination with the Tax Accountant.

  • Monitor adherence to tax regulations and support risk assessments to mitigate potential exposures.

  • Manage income and deferred tax accounting, ensuring precise reporting to the US parent company.

  • Provide tax guidance to finance, legal, and commercial teams, ensuring tax considerations are factored into business decisions.

  • Support tax audits, maintain transfer pricing documentation, and contribute to international tax initiatives.

  • Lead tax technology improvements to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.



Ideal Candidate

  • CTA, ICAEW/ICAS, or equivalent qualification.

  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach, with a focus on driving improvements.

  • Strong analytical abilities, with the capability to translate complex tax legislation into practical business applications.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Solid technical tax accounting expertise.
