PRS are pleased to be representing an innovative UK based bioenergy company, who are investing heavily in the Stafford area and creating jobs for production operatives. We are looking for reliable production operatives with a mechanical bias to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights)

Your main duties will include:

Operating and maintaining the log press machine.
Monitor the performance of screw presses, conveyors, and other production machinery, including bunding and strapping machines, to ensure production targets are met.
Safely move pallets of hot logs into a cooling store and return cooled pallets for wrapping using a forklift truck.
Perform basic maintenance on production equipment, including the changing of strap cartridges, film material, and labels.

Ideally, you'll hold a forklift licence, and have some mechanical skills/understanding. Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is desirable. Due to the location of the plant a driving licence and access to a vehicle is required. Please note the role requires working in a hot environment with heavy machinery.
