Description
*Responsibility for all issues relating to Health & Safety and the Environment during shift
*Support colleagues through excellent communication and active leadership
*Ensure co-ordination and handover management between shifts
*Translate, analyse and deliver customer needs through effective operations
*Ensure resource availability and skilled trained resource
*Deliver consistent service levels seeking to exceed customer expectations
*Effective leadership, management and communication with all warehouse departments
*Responsible for ensuring high levels of excellence in culture and behaviours
*Display a 'can do' attitude to enhance motivation of team
*Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
*Engage with and treat employees with respect and promote diversity
*Recognise and proactively manage continuous improvement initiatives
*Ensure all internal / external KPI's are achieved and regularly reviewed
Profile
A successful Team Manager should have:
*Operational Experience
*Excellent organisational/time management skills
*People Management including experience of disciplinary investigations and other people processes
*Good analytical and numerical skills
*Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
*Excellent communicator (verbal & written)
*Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
*Team Development
*Ability to work without direct supervision
*Use of Microsoft Packages including Excel and Word
*Work within a team and able to interact at all levels
