This is a brand new role for a Group which has a couple of highly successful business ventures in the consumer sector but with very different end users! Like many at the moment they’re looking to reduce their agency spend by bringing marketing inhouse, and this role will be the sole marketing position so we need someone who knows their onions!
The role:
As Marketing Manager you will take a lead with all the marketing strategy in order to drive traffic to the websites which will then convert into sales. The main business specialises in automotive customisation and has a global presence, the other business is within the leisure sector offering services for weddings and events, and it has some pretty unique selling points. Naturally the websites are very different - there’s an ecommerce website (Shopify) but also a standard, shop window site for the other business. They utilise Google Ads which will probably stay with the agency for now, but they’re active on social media and email.
Your role will be to look at the overarching marketing strategy to get the most out of what they have and also increase the business exposure. This will come from emails, website and content management and social media primarily. There will also be elements of print involved - booklets, brochures, event materials etc. This is still a very hands on role so we do need someone who is happy to devise the strategy but also to implement it.
What we’re looking for:
You’re going to need at least a couple of years’ experience within a consumer facing marketing role, and you will need to be experienced in pulling together a marketing strategy. You’ll also need to have had a 360 approach to marketing covering on and offline campaigns. This will involve both understanding email flows as well as campaigns (they’re using Klaviyo so any experience in this would be useful), website management and social media across Instagram, X, Facebook, and YouTube. Experience of using Shopify would also be useful to ensure the website is being used to its full potential and ad-on’s are incorporated wherever possible.
This may suit someone who is looking to step up to a Manager role or someone who fancies a new challenge. It’s unlikely you’re going to have a distinct passion for both sides of the business, so we’re looking for someone who understands consumer campaigns and can become interested in the sectors.
What’s on Offer?
This is ideally an office based role, - there may be the possibility of 1 day at home after 6 months or so (this is a business that has needed people to be onsite, so they need to see how this would work with a marketing person, but the emphasis will always be towards the office. You’ll probably be with the automotive business 3 days per week and the leisure side for 2 days - this is in a remote location so you will need to be able to drive. Salary for the role is between £35-40,000.
