Relationship Manager

The Role

  • Assisting clients in selecting the appropriate finance option by following our compliant sales process and client care best practices.
  • Handling finance rate negotiations and coordinating all stages of client transactions.
  • Engaging in frequent telephone interactions with clients, our field-based sales team, and dealer sales personnel.
  • Meeting profit and margin targets, along with other key performance indicators.
  • Establishing and maintaining client relationships through regular calls and emails, and promptly addressing inbound enquiries.
  • Cultivating existing relationships with clients and dealer sales personnel.
  • Developing new client relationships.
  • Managing and maintaining the sales pipeline.
  • Providing support to the team while achieving individual objectives.
  • Taking ownership of workload coordination (with supervisor support available after training).

  • Demonstrating a proactive and self-motivated approach with a positive attitude.
  • Displaying confidence, resilience, and curiosity.
  • Exhibiting effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks, computer literacy, and digital technology usage (with training).
  • Capable of prioritising and professionally managing multiple clients' demands.
  • Skilled in numeracy, accuracy, and diligence.
  • Collaborative team player who is sociable, supportive, and empathetic.
  • What you will need to bring
  • Minimum A level/BTEC qualifications, with a degree or equivalent being beneficial.
  • It is ideal to have a track record of meeting sales quotas in a financial services environment.
  • Beneficial to hold professional qualifications in finance or banking.
  • Ideal to possess knowledge of hire purchase, leasing, or B2B lending.
  • Desirable to understand financial services regulations and industry policies, including anti-money laundering, data protection, fraud prevention, and fair treatment of customers.
