Commercial Account Executive

Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme (office-based with some flexibility)Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 Inc. Car Allowance + Bonus

The Company:An established and growing brokerage is seeking a driven Commercial Account Executive to help build their commercial business in the region. The company offers strong support from experienced technical staff, a collaborative culture, and access to a wider brokerage network for growth and development.

The Role:This role focuses on building a new book of commercial business from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for lead generation, client acquisition, and relationship-building, with guidance and support from a Sales Director and an outbound lead generation team. This position offers the autonomy to create and manage a pipeline while developing long-term client partnerships. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong drive to succeed in new business.

Requirements:

  • Background in commercial insurance, ideally in a new business setting with larger corporate clients.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and manage client relationships independently.
  • Confidence in building a book without an existing client base, showing an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to develop a strong pipeline and close cases working to an income target.
  • Experience in general commercial lines (Property, Manufacturing, Construction) is preferred; specialist knowledge welcome but not required.
