If you have previous experience working at a Recycling Centre / Refuse Centre / Waste Management Company / Scrap Metal Merchants / Composting Facilities / Materials Recovery Facility / Wast to Energy Plant / Landfill Operator or similar, then great. If not, but you have previous management / supervisory experience with a good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and enjoy working outside in a yard / work site environment, then we would like to hear from you too.
SALARY: £32,000 per annum + Benefits
LOCATION: Stafford, Staffordshire, West Midlands
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 40 Hours per Week over 7 days (candidates must be flexible due to the shifts running days, nights, and weekends)

DUTIES
Your duties as a Deputy Site Manager will include:
- Reporting to the Site Manager
- Assist with managing the Recycling Team with key focus on Health and Safety, and Quality
- Quality checking of waste materials
- Organisation of yard / work areas
- Delivery of training
- Issuing of PPE and keeping records
- Managing sickness/absence, and recruitment
- Overseeing waste collections and processing of documentation
- Communicating with the client and Head Office
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous management/supervisor experience
- Previous experience in waste management or similar sectors
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations
- Proven problem-solving ability
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to a motivate a team and drive continuous improvement
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Forklift experience / licence - Counterbalance (desirable)
