Role: Contract Data Migration EngineerDuration: 6-month contract Rate: £350 - £375 a day IR35: Outside IR35Location: Fully RemoteSpectrum IT's UK National Client is looking to hire a Contract Data Migration Engineer for an initial six-month contract. In this role, you'll play a key part in the project transformation team as they implement and migrate to a new housing management system. Your primary focus will be on data migration, as well as supporting and designing data management and business intelligence systems. Responsibilities:

  • Creating high-quality, accessible data models and storage solutions
  • Lead the data migration, support and design activity on data management and BI systems.
  • Proficiency with NEC's data loaders and configuration is essential.
  • Produce thorough documentation of source and target mappings
  • Maintain an information and data catalogue and a metadata repository
  • Handle information management testing and quality control for both new and existing projects
  • Develop and manage ETL workloads to ensure they run predictably and efficiently.
  • Responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting all data management services and processes
  • Collaborating with IT, service vendors, and internal teams to ensure the high availability of insight services.

Skills

  • Experience in designing and developing a data Factory
  • Experience of other housing management systems such as Active H, Open Housing or Northgate would be highly beneficial
  • Experience with NEC housing management system and data loaders
  • SSIS / SSRS
  • Experience in identifying and mitigating issues and risks associated with their development work.
  • Experience data modelling and a thorough understanding of logical modelling concepts
  • Experience with databases and analytics, including relational databases (e.g. SQL Server), Data Warehousing and business analytics tools
  • Write/develop SQL scripts to map data and then move into new HSM systems using application directly: NEC data loaders (experience is essential in this area)
  • Broad understanding of BI information exploitation methods including ad-hoc queries, data mining techniques, data visualisation, real-time intelligence and data exploration.
  • Identification and resolution of problems in databases, data processes, data products and services
  • Analysis and reporting of test activities and results
  • Extensive ETL experience
