Electrical Design Engineer - 2 years FTC

DOE £35ph (£67,340.00 per annum) - weekly pay

GiPro (part of GiGroup Holding) is proud to partner exclusively with one of the most recognised global renewable energy businesses, who are on a mission to develop cutting-edge monitoring technologies, typically deployed in an Electrical Substation, allowing the customer to understand and optimise the operating condition of their Electrical Power Transformers, circuit breakers and other substation assets.

We are looking for 1x Primary and 1x Secondary Design Engineer to work as part of our client's Design team with minimum of 3-days in the office.

Please note that this is a 2-years FTC, presenting the opportunity to be extended.

The candidates will be the lead engineers on 132kV - 400kV projects providing support for the project team by producing or subcontracting the activities below.

  • Participate in Safety reviews
  • (Primary) Produce & Review Primary Layouts
  • (Primary) Verify Structure Designs
  • (Secondary) Produce SLD & KLD
  • (Secondary) Verify P&C Schemes from suppliers
  • Interface with internal & external P&C suppliers
  • Collaborate in project team
  • Verify back office designs

About you:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of National Grid specification
  • Experience in HV Substation design
  • Knowledge of GE, Siemens and Hitachi Protection Relays
  • TP141 is a bonus
  • HVDC experience is a bonus
