Qualified Electrician

We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Qualified Electrician to join our clients in-house electrical division to be based in Stafford on a Fixed Term Contract from September to December 2024.

You will be required to carry out electrical inspection & testing, electrical reactive and planned maintenance works. Work activity will depend on location but will normally fall into the categories of tenanted & void properties, general repair and maintenance, prior to paint or modernizations.

Salary: £36,074.40 per annum

Hours: Mon-Fri | 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Carry out inspection and testing and completing of the necessary test certification in accordance with IEE wiring regulations.
Carry out Electrical work in domestic buildings as well as commercial work. This includes consumer unit changes, electrical rewires, wiring upgrades, minor works repairs and fault finding.
To be fully conversant with all aspects of electrical installation works of both 230v and 400v.
Always ensure compliance with the IEE Wiring Regulations, and that the appropriate materials used.
To undertake testing of all portable and fixed electrical equipment (PAT Testing).
To liaise with customers to arrange appointments, access arrangements, discuss works etc.
Carry out and complete all works to high quality and in a competent manner and with the property being left in a clean and tidy condition.
To work with, and provide information relating to technical matters, to any group as directed by the Supervisor.
To liaise with other staff, Surveyors and Sub-contractors as necessary to ensure the timely completion of works within agreed operational targets.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork including job tickets and timesheets and ensure this is passed to your supervisor within agreed timescales.
To accept progress and complete accurately all works allocated via the mobile working device (PDAs).
Ensure that any required qualifications for your position remain valid and to ensure that any necessary training is arranged and undertaken within the specified timescales.
To participate in the companies out of hours emergency service.
To always act in accordance with the companies rules, policies, procedures, and financial regulations.

Ideal Candidate:
BS7671 -18th edition (Two years minimum qualified)
Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (NVQ3) or JIB graded with AM2 qualification
City and Guilds 2391 (desirable as qualification can be offered)
Domestic EICR Testing and/or experience of domestic installation
Customer care skills and the ability to provide excellent customer
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365 applications
Experience of online certification (EasyCert) or similar
Excellent communication skills
Full UK Driving Licence
Travel distance of within 1 hour of Stafford
