We are currently working in partnership with a leading construction company based in South Staffordshire, who are recruiting for a permanent HR Business Partner to join their small but busy team. They are looking for a strong HR generalist, happy with getting stuck in at all levels, and can offer £55k with a £5k car allowance and yearly bonus.

The ideal candidate will have a generalist HR background with experience in the construction sector or similar.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Working closely with leadership teams to align people strategies with overall business goals
  • Providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice to managers on policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Overseeing employee relations activity, including conflict resolution, disciplinary matters, and grievance management
  • Leveraging HR analytics via People HR to generate insights that inform data-driven decisions and enhance employee experience
  • Driving employee engagement and cultivating a positive company culture
  • Partnering with senior leaders to implement strategies that address the skills gap in the construction sector
  • Nurturing emerging talent and delivering early career programs, ensuring dedicated pastoral support for Apprentices and Graduates
  • Supporting the growth and development of the workforce, empowering them to reach their full potential
  • Advocating for continuous learning and development, actively seeking opportunities to foster a culture of ongoing improvement

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Strong previous experience within generalist HR operations
  • Experience working within the construction industry (desirable)
  • Competent handling project work and managing it with BAU workload
  • Comfortable in dealing with HR administration as required
