2/3rd Line Support Engineer, Stoke On Trent, 24/7 support environment
Excellent opportunity for a 2nd/3rd Line support Engineer to join an excellent MSP a leading provider of IT services within the defence sector. Working on cutting-edge solutions to support critical operations and infrastructure. This would suit an experienced and talented second line support engineer, to ensure the reliability, availability, and security of clients' systems and networks.
As a key member of the technical team, you will provide essential support to maintain operational readiness in a 24/7 environment. Dealing with P1 incidents and patch management is essential. Regularly test and patch systems and software to ensure security and functionality.
Initially starting on days, you will phase to a 24x7 operation with flexibility to work shifts, nights, weekends.
At least 3 years IT Support experience with 2nd / 3rd line responsibilities, ITIL V3/4 foundation or above. Due to this being a technical support role you will need to have excellent communication skills and be capable of patching – patch management. Responding and resolving complex IT issues in a timely manner, providing efficient and timely solutions to maintain a high standard.
This is a busy, bustling, collaborative, Agile team working onsite in Stoke On Trent. Would suit someone who can drive, local to the offices in Stoke On Trent due to the nature of the business and participating in on call rotas, to work in a 24/7 environment.
Strong proven experience in a similar role this would suit someone preferably within the defence or government sector who is already SC cleared or willing to go through security clearance.
