Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring vulnerable adults who lack capacity to consent but need care and treatment regimes that may deprive them of their liberty have their best interests protected in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Code of Practice.
  • Working with internal and external customers to provide a high-quality service.
  • Using computer-based information systems and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Liaising with Doctors and Best interest assessors.
  • Inputting information on the internal computer system and tracking the process of referrals to ensure that they are completed in a timely manner.
