An opportunity has arisen for an EFD operative, working within the EFD Department of the Perkins Stafford business. This position would be ideal for somebody seeking a new challenge and to broaden their experience.
The advertised role is intended for an individual to be versatile throughout the EFD department for roles of the grade highlighted.
There is a requirement for this candidate to be self-sufficient in day-to-day activities. This includes a pro-active and thorough approach to Paint Spraying throughout the Department. The individual will have the ability to navigate various business systems and provide clear and concise input to the Assembly and support groups as and when required. Additional training, if needed, will be provided to the successful candidate.
The first 12 weeks training period will be paid at 12.90 per hour. Will then increase to standard rate.
- 14.60 per hour after 12 weeks training complete

Hours of work and salary
- Monday to Thursday, 07:30AM - 16:30PM
- Dependant on experience and overtime where available
- Overtime available for any work on Fridays where available
- Sunday would be paid at premium overtime rates!
As a EFD operative you will be required to;
- Ensuring product is always handled in a safe manner around the EFD Department.
- Raise Safety, Environmental and Ergonomic concerns immediately using the appropriate platforms.
- Manage activity as required in the Department, as requested by the Team Leader in the morning brief.
- Paint spray of Engines and Transmissions through the Department.
- We're expanding our Final Finish team and are looking for people with a keen eye for detail and delivering high quality paint finishes.
- Experience would be an advantage, but training will be given.
- Preparing engines for painting.
- Working within the wash and etch booth.
- Spraying engines to a high standard and finish.
- Final dress and detailing of the engines.
- Adhering to strict quality standards and processes.
- Provide verbal and hands on assistance to Assembly and support teams as required.
Offer will be subject to the successful completion of a Spirometer assessment due to the departmental requirement to spray engines and transmissions with the use of specific PPE. Candidates will also need to have a pre employment drug test in line with the site policy.
