The Recruitment Group are pleased to be collaborating with an established manufacturing company. As a CAD Technician, you will provide design support and 3D CAD drawing services for their Projects team, working as part of their in-house CAD department.

Skills and Attributes:
- Must have strong 3D CAD modelling skills using Autodesk Inventor. Knowledge of parametric control and iLogic would be beneficial.
- Proficient in reading construction and manufacturing drawings.
- Able to work from architectural design drawings and written briefs to produce detailed design and manufacturing drawings for bespoke products. Initial product training will be provided.
- Good communication skills, both in conveying and retrieving information from various sources and media.
- Organisational and time management skills are essential.
- A team player with a strong sense of accountability.

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with Project Managers and Design Managers to produce drawings for specific projects as outlined in the contracted scope of work.
- Modelling bespoke items, including joinery, sheet metal parts, steel fabrications, ceramic and sanitary ware, brassware, and ironmongery.
- Modifying parametric library parts to incorporate company standard ranges, such as cubicles and panel systems.
- Assembling full room layout models.
- Producing drawing sets from models for architectural approval and manufacturing drawings for third-party fabricators.
- Attending design meetings with clients and Design Managers as required (Weekly, Monthly depending on the project).
- Communicating with suppliers and fabricators to review products and understand assembly processes.
- Supporting Design Managers in attending meetings with new suppliers to review products.
- These responsibilities will be carried out in collaboration with the existing team, with ongoing training and support provided.
Key Role Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar environment would be advantageous.
